Welcome Laura!

We are excited to announce that Laura Bickart has joined the Chan Lab!

Brief bio: Laura is from Elmore Vermont, and graduated with a BA in Chemistry from Smith College in Massachusetts. Her undergraduate thesis under Prof Dave Gorin was focused on the synthesis of DNA-conjugated small molecule catalysts for efficient and targeted drug delivery in biological systems. Laura was also a summer intern at the Mayo Clinic under Dr. Jim Maher, working on the selection of DNA aptamers to target the mitochondria using proximity biotinylation. For fun, Laura enjoys hiking, rock climbing, baking, and reading.

Laura is currently a chemical biology student pursuing her PhD in chemistry, and is super excited to have joined the Chan lab!
