Welcome Kinshuk!

We are excited to announce that Kinshuk Malik has joined the Chan Lab!

Brief bio: Kinshuk is from Bareilly (U.P.), India. He graduated with an honors degree in chemistry from Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi in 2021. After that, he went to Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur where he obtained a master’s degree in chemistry. At IIT Kharagpur, he worked with Prof. N. D. Pradeep Singh on AIE and ESIPT-based fluorophores for photodynamic therapy. Besides, he published a few book chapters and review articles in diverse fields like nanomaterials and food chemistry. Kinshuk aims to address unsolved biological challenges using chemistry as a powerful tool. Outside of lab, he likes to try new cooking recipes, swim, play badminton, and hang out with friends.

Kinshuk is currently a chemical biology student pursuing his PhD in chemistry, and is excited to have joined the Chan lab!
