Welcome to Illinois Effie. We hope you enjoy your rotation in our lab!

Brief bio: Effie received her BSc in Chemistry from UC Berkeley in 2014 where she conducted research under the supervision of Prof. Matt Francis. During this time, Effie synthesized combinatorial libraries of solid-phase peptoid chains for applications in contaminated water remediation and biological toxicity assays. Effie is currently a Chemical Biology Interface (CBI) trainee, a National Science Foundation (NSF) graduate research fellow, and is pursuing her PhD in Chemical Biology.
